I went to El Ciego the other day, where this man built the Marqués de Riscal hotel and took a few pictures, but they don´t allow you to walk near the building so are bud pictures, but you can watch Ysios winery built by calatrava, is an amazing building, and also pictures frome the La Rioja landscapes with all the red wineyards. Chuva, I thought that 'photoshop' is only good for self-portrait photos? For this beauty, I don't think you still need a photoshop to make it look even more beautiful, diba?

Marni, and it just so happen that he has this imaginative art that turns into reality. Isn't that amazing?

Kofi, wow seemed like you know his works really well. I think his designs is a combination of sensous curving forms and has achieved a significant stunning results. I read an article about him and he said that "architecture is art" which has been a part of Frank Gehry's being for as long as he can remember. And like most architects, the art of building is a serious and searching business really. He must be a multi-millionaire for creating beautiful buildings with an exceptional set of skills. Admirable.

Belle, I think of it as an adventurous and original imagery - an abstract geometry. Ano kaya hitsura sa loob? Fashionably rock and funky din siguro.

Ginger, makes me think, he is an expressionist kind of individual because it says from all his designs.

Wow, these are so cool, I’ve never seen anything like these before, we’ve one house in our area that’s hurricane proof, all I’d see is the roof; it’s somewhat odd to look at, but nothing comparing to these.

pretty neat! some people have wild imagination. but if you were an architect, wouldn't you want to show your ability? we see a lot of these in mexico because they don't have restrictions that we do here.

the last one, it reminds me of a huge huge ship like a titanic idled in the middle of the city.

Ahhh Gehry! I used to think he was a genius, who can design something by crumpling a piece of paper (which he handed to his drafstmen and instructed them to plot the design in 3d)? Now he's famous!

His is the perfect example of form against function. You take the form first then you think of a reason why it's there.

Then again, the Guggenheim is still an engineering feat.

Inthesity, yes I heard, his private residence was built in 1978 and I think now it's just one of the tourist attraction in California. The house retains a certain minimalist sense, the effort is freely intended as artistically built from the most mundane materials, aluminum metal siding, plywood, glass that looks like a concrete of skeleton but still look nice.

Wendy, I think the OPERA House in OZ is one of the most amazing architecture in the World. And I find it really beautiful.

Ris, very futuristic images diba? My mind wondered a bit there and I thought it wasn't real. So far that design is the most stunning that I've seen (in picture) much more if you're there up close and personal?

Pretty cool. Sydney's architecture here is so crap compared to other countries. I really doubt the Opera House is considered good compared to the world.

Do you know that he became famous for building his own house in Venice Beach with recicled materials. That house doesnt exist any more.
I´ve been in Bilbao, and In LA, but the Disney was still under constuction, almost finished. His last building in spain is a hotel&spa for Marqués de Riscal a winery from La Rioja in a small village, they make wine treatments.

Meeya, true, it becomes like an ornament sort of thing that you admire when you see something like that in a city, parang digital-design yung may spidey diba? I wish I have a pencil in my hands, to have a piece of paper and to design something, but it's easy to do that with the single 'click and paste' then presto, a photo-fantastic post. :)

i love his designs too. they're unconventional in the sense na they're assymetrical, flowy, and visually arresting. very fresh! :)
